Role Overview
The Assistant Territory Manager will be responsible for promoting learning solutions across schools in the assigned territory, driving sales growth, and establishing the brand as a leading education publisher. The role involves developing strong school relationships, implementing effective sales strategies, and ensuring market expansion in Rajkot and nearby regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and establish print and online learning products in schools across the territory.
- Build and maintain an updated school database and strengthen educator relationships.
- Drive business growth by reaching 300–400 schools in the first year.
- Appoint and manage distributors for efficient product supply to schools and retailers.
- Collect market feedback and share insights with the editorial and marketing teams.
- Facilitate school visits, workshops, and marketing initiatives to increase product adoption.
- Develop and implement territory-specific sales strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
- Prepare sales plans, budgets, progress reports, and analyze customer feedback.
- Explore new business opportunities in Tier II and Tier III towns.
- Provide guidance, motivation, and training to junior sales team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws/guidelines.
Key Result Areas
- Achievement of sales and collection targets.
- Growth of market share in the assigned territory.
- Timely communication of market insights to marketing and editorial teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
- 2–4 years of sales experience, preferably in publishing, or education.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and expand market presence.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and willing to travel extensively within the territory.
