About the Role

We are seeking a
dynamic, result-driven, and communicative Business Development Executive
to join our growing
Public Relations agency
.

The ideal candidate will possess
exceptional communication and presentation skills (mandatory)
, a strong understanding of
business development within the PR and marketing industry
, and the ability to build and maintain meaningful client relationships.

This is a
work-from-office position based in Mumbai
, offering the opportunity to work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive the agency's growth and client success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Acquisition & Lead Generation

  • Identify and generate qualified business leads within target industries relevant to the agency's services.
  • Utilize platforms such as
    LinkedIn, email outreach, and networking
    to initiate and nurture client connections.
  • Evaluate leads based on ideal client profiles and ensure alignment with agency offerings.

2. Proposal Development & Service Pitching

  • Create and present
    customized PR proposals
    tailored to client requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual meetings to
    pitch services effectively
    and close deals confidently.
  • Manage proposal negotiations, ensuring clarity on pricing, scope, and deliverables.

3. Market Research & Strategic Planning

  • Conduct ongoing research on
    market trends, competitor activities, and industry insights.
  • Identify new opportunities for business growth and strategic collaborations.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to refine and implement business development strategies.

4. Client Relationship Management

  • Oversee smooth client onboarding and ensure a seamless transition from lead to active client.
  • Maintain regular communication to build trust and ensure long-term client satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for
    upselling and cross-selling
    additional agency services.

5. Inter-Department Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal
    PR, Finance, and Operations
    teams to ensure deliverables align with client expectations.
  • Serve as the point of contact between clients and internal teams for seamless communication.
  • Provide
    daily or weekly progress reports
    to management on leads, pipeline status, and closures.

6. CRM & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate client and lead data using
    CRM tools or Excel trackers.
  • Track lead progress, follow-ups, and deal closures systematically.

7. Time Management & Professional Discipline

  • Prioritize and manage daily responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, consistency, and accountability while meeting business goals.

8. Client Retention & Growth Initiatives

  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively resolve issues.
  • Contribute to
    client retention initiatives
    , including loyalty programs and relationship-building efforts.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience
    in Business Development (preferably within PR, communications, or marketing agencies).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – mandatory.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in
    MS Excel, CRM systems, and virtual communication tools.
  • Highly self-motivated, strategic thinker with a proactive and accountable work ethic.
  • Must be
    based in Mumbai
    and available to
    work from office (WFO).
