Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development & Alliance specialist to join Ounsh Ventures working for global client mandates. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving commercial initiatives involving Business Development& Licensing (BD&L), Partnerships and M&A mandates for multiple clients. You will be responsible to identify product & partnership opportunities, negotiate favorable agreements and execute long term strategic projects for clients' portfolio.
This is a senior and high impact role that offers global exposure, a lot of autonomy, and an incredible opportunity to learn and deliver.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Focus
: Consistently work on a portfolio of Biologics, Biosimilars, Complex Generics & Innovator product portfolio across global markets for clients of Ounsh Ventures. - Identify and Evaluate Strategic Opportunities:
Analyze market trends and identify potential Go-To-Market opportunities for products & technologies for Ounsh's Clients. - Develop and Implement Licensing Strategies:
Formulate and Implement licensing strategies in line with the Client's overall business objectives. - Participate in Negotiations and Due Diligence:
Oversee agreement negotiations to secure favorable terms for Clients as well as due diligences as part of regular business transactions. - Business Development Process Adherence:
Ensure adherence to BD guidelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams (including commercial/BD, legal, finance, portfolio, regulatory, supply chain management, IP management, clinical, and operations) both on client side as well as partner side for every transaction as needed. - Relationship Management:
Manage and maintain relationships with existing partners/clients, and drive new business development and market expansion opportunities. - Technology Transfer Projects:
Drive
technology transfer and CMO projects for expansion and risk mitigation of Client assets. - M&A, Fund Raising and Investments
: Support Clients as an industry/product/technology expert in their M&A or fund raising requirements to secure favorable outcomes for long-term success of the projects and investments. - Financial Models:
Prepare business cases, financial models, or other forms of analysis and reporting tools for every transaction to have an objective deal assessment on regular basis. - Monitor Industry Trends:
Stay abreast of industry trends and influencing activities to continuously update and refine partnership strategies. 
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences and MBA required
 - Overall 5-6 years of experience in BD&L within pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry required.
 - Prior Exposure in Strategic roles/ BD&L/ Partnerships/Alliances within Biosimilars or Management Consulting role in Life Sciences will be a big plus
 - Strong understanding of the drug development and commercialization process
 - Proven track record in successfully negotiating and closing out licensing deals
 - Demonstrated ability to analyse market trends and competitive landscapes; relate macro-economic developments with impact on local market, understand & track competitors
 - Strong financial acumen and experience with financial modelling
 - Strong articulation, communication and presentation skills
 - Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
 - Willingness to travel as required for BD activities
 - Proficient in
Business Case development/analysis, Understanding of Pharma P&Ls, Market Intelligence - Excellent communication, negotiation skills and Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
 - Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently
 - Strong networking skills, quick learner, resourceful, and street-smart to handle dynamic tasks effectively
