Facilities Engineer

For this new and exciting chapter of Varex, we are looking for a motivated
Facilities Engineer.
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing facility design, construction, installation, and maintenance projects across plant, office, and production environments. You will ensure optimal facility utilization, compliance with safety and building regulations, and effective coordination among internal teams, contractors, and external agencies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Develop and review project plans & drawings and assist in Capital equipment's installation, commissioning and handover.

2. Manage site inspections and monitor construction progress, MEP progress and reporting.

3. Coordinate with contractors, architects, suppliers and government agencies as per requirements.

4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes and address any technical issues that arise during construction.

5. Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects within defined time span.

6. Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status

7. Work with the Production maintenance to evaluate needs for all work requests—both scheduled and unscheduled—as well as any special projects that arise.

8. Coordinate and follow up on Breakdown / preventative maintenance of Infrastructure such as Civil (Carpentry, Plumbing, Fabrication, Painting etc.) and PEB structure

9. Coordinate and follow up on Breakdown / preventative maintenance of Utility equipment's such as Electrical - HT breakers, Transformers, Generators, Solar, UPS, LT Panels, Synchronization panels, Electrical Luminaries, Earthing's etc.

10. Coordinate and follow up on Breakdown / preventative maintenance of Utility equipment's such as Mechanical - HVAC (Central and VRV system) - Chiller, AHU's, low side works, Indoors & Outdoors, Air compressors and piping, PHE maintenance,

11. Coordinate and follow up on Breakdown / preventative maintenance of utility equipment's such as Utilities - FAS system, Fire Hydrant & Sprinklers, Extinguishers, Lifts, STP and ETP plants, water & diesel management etc.

12. Coordinate and follow up on Breakdown / preventative maintenance of BMS systems and Field devices such as Works station (Software and Hardware), communications (Modbus, Ethernet, RS 232 etc.) field devices (Analog/Digital) etc.

13. Coordinate and assist in repairs and renewal involving Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing systems (MEP).

14. Liaison with Government agencies for technical work such as MSEB, MPCB, MIDC, DISH etc.

Skill requirements:

• Experience with People & Project management
• Problem-solving skills. Project engineers work at the highest level of design and plan large infrastructure projects which requires solving complex problems such as grid interconnection and transportation planning
• Decision-making skills, Leadership skills, Project management and Communication skills.
• Knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, SCADA and Automation.
• Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
• Good hands-on MS Office skills - MS Projects, Excel etc.

Experience & Qualification:

• Qualification - BE Mechanical
• Experience - 7+yrs
