Job Summary

The
Head – Procurement
will lead and oversee the company's procurement function, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance. This role requires strategic leadership in supplier management, contract negotiations, and cost optimization, while driving procurement excellence to support the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement robust procurement strategies aligned with company goals and budgets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Monitor market trends and recommend strategies to optimize procurement costs.

2. Supplier & Contract Management

  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms and reliability.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews, resolve disputes, and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee contract drafting, negotiation, renewal, and compliance with legal and organizational requirements.

3. Cost & Performance Management

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising on quality standards.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are transparent, efficient, and in compliance with company policies.
  • Regularly analyze procurement metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve functional excellence.
  • Implement training programs to build technical expertise, negotiation skills, and compliance awareness.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 12 years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
  • Skills:
    Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical abilities. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems.
