Job SummaryThe Production Head for the Empty Hard Gelatin (EHG) Capsules. Division is responsible for end-to-end plant operations, driving manufacturing excellence, and owning the Profit & Loss (P&L) of the unit. This role demands strategic oversight of production, cost control, automation, compliance, and cross-functional leadership to deliver business growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesP&L Ownership & Strategic PlanningOwn the units P&L and drive profitability through cost control, operational efficiency, and revenue alignment.Prepare and monitor Annual Operating Plan (AOP), monthly cash flows, and budget adherence.Analyze financial performance and implement corrective actions to meet EBITDA targets.Production & Cost OptimizationLead monthly production planning aligned with AOP forecasts.Ensure full delivery of monthly cash flow and standard product cost.Drive cost reduction across capsule grades and raw materials.Ensure accurate ERP entries for production, sales, and inventory.Automation & DigitalizationChampion automation across production, QA, and maintenance to reduce manual dependency.Drive ERP optimization and data-driven decision-making.Implement smart technologies for predictive maintenance and process control.Maintenance & Asset ReliabilityEnsure >95% plant availability through preventive and predictive maintenance.Oversee AMC for critical assets and ensure zero downtime or safety incidents.Manage maintenance-related cash flow.Procurement & Supply ChainEnsure uninterrupted raw material supply and vendor performance.Align purchase planning with production schedules and cost targets.Optimize inventory levels and manage procurement cash flow.Regulatory & ComplianceEnsure timely renewal of statutory licenses and pollution control consents.Maintain strong public relations and regulatory compliance across operations.Marketing & Customer SupportCollaborate with Marketing to meet sales targets and ensure timely dispatches.Provide technical and quality support to customers and resolve complaints proactively.Projects & CapexLead execution of new projects, capacity expansions, and technology upgrades.Identify strategic growth initiatives and manage associated investments.Effluent Treatment & SustainabilityEnsure ETP operations meet environmental norms and zero discharge violations.Drive sustainability initiatives and manage ETP-related cash flow.EHS & Risk ManagementConduct monthly safety meetings and ensure compliance with internal and external audits.Promote a culture of safety and manage EHS-related cash flow.Quality AssuranceMaintain certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, USFDA, cGMP) and ensure 100% audit approvals.Coordinate regulatory submissions and ensure GMP-compliant operations.New Product DevelopmentPartner with R&D and Tech Transfer for new capsule variants and innovations.Ensure cost-effective scale-up and commercialization.Finance & BudgetingOversee financial audits, insurance, and capital budgeting.Ensure financial discipline and timely reporting.HR & AdministrationLead HR functions including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee engagement.Build a high-performance & development culture and maintain healthy industrial relations.Audits & GovernanceEnsure quarterly audits (Finance, QMS, EHS, HR) with timely closure of observations.Facilitate successful customer and social audits with zero critical findings.Role & responsibilitiesPreferred candidate profile
