Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Head Empty Capsules to lead the manufacturing and operations of our capsule production division. This role will oversee the end-to-end operations, including production planning, quality assurance, supply chain coordination, and team management, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and delivery of high-quality empty capsules.

Preferred candidate profile

Key Requirements:

  • Education:

    M Pharma/MSc/B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent.

    MBA in Operations / Supply Chain
  • Experience:

    20~30 years of experience in HGC/Gelatin Capsule manufacturing, with at least 10 years in a leadership role in empty capsule production/Operations.
  • Technical Expertise:

    In-depth knowledge of capsule manufacturing technologies (gelatin/HPMC), GMP compliance, and automated production systems.

  • Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
  • Strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or similar methodologies
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Operations Management:

    Oversee the complete operations lifecycle of empty capsule manufacturing from raw material procurement to final packaging and dispatch.
  • Production Planning & Execution:

    Develop and execute production schedules based on demand forecasts, optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Process Optimization:

    Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, cost-efficiency, and process standardization using lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance:

    Ensure all operations comply with GMP, FDA, ISO, and other relevant regulatory standards. Collaborate closely with QA/QC teams to maintain high product standards.
  • Supply Chain & Inventory Management:

    Coordinate with procurement and logistics to manage raw material inventory, vendor relationships, and delivery timelines.
  • Team Leadership & Development:

    Lead and mentor production and operational teams across shifts; build a high-performance culture and encourage skill development.
  • Capacity Planning & Capex Projects:

    Plan for capacity expansion in line with business growth. Lead the implementation of new technologies and equipment.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

    Ensure strict adherence to safety norms and environmental regulations within the plant.
  • Cost Management:

    Monitor and control operational costs, budgets, and resource utilization to achieve cost targets.
  • Reporting & MIS:

    Provide regular updates to senior management on operational KPIs, production metrics, and strategic initiatives.
