Position Overview

The Lead – JBS Payroll Operations is responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll operations within JLL's shared services environment. This leadership role manages payroll processing for multiple entities across various jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of payroll services. The position focuses on operational excellence, team leadership, and continuous improvement of payroll processes while maintaining strong partnerships with HR, Finance, and regional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Partnership

Execute a comprehensive JBS Payroll Operations strategy to deliver high-quality, end-to-end payroll services for global stakeholders

Collaborate strategically with HR Business Partners, Finance, Compensation, Benefits, and regional business leaders to align payroll service delivery with organizational priorities

Support JLL's agenda for offshore payroll operations and global payroll transformation initiatives

Payroll Shared Services Leadership

Lead the payroll shared services function with comprehensive oversight of payroll operational activities across the various JBS payroll teams

Responsible for strategic planning and execution of core payroll processes including multi-entity payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and system administration

Establish and maintain service level agreements with internal clients, ensuring consistent delivery standards globally

Manage complex stakeholder relationships across diverse geographical and functional areas

Operational Excellence & Innovation

Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging scale, technology, and automation to maximize payroll operational efficiency and effectiveness

Ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions while maintaining operational consistency and adherence to local labor laws

Deliver measurable business outcomes through payroll process optimization and technology enablement

Deliver against agreed KPIs including SLAs

Team Leadership & Development

Build, lead, and develop highly capable and engaged global payroll teams to achieve best-in-class operational standards

Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction to payroll specialists across multiple regions

Foster a culture of innovation, engagement, and continuous learning within the payroll operations function

Business Transformation & Growth

Deliver the transitioning of key payroll activities from onshore locations to centralized JBS operational centers

Partner with business leaders to grow JBS payroll operations capabilities and create new services that improve delivery and customer experience

Enable seamless payroll delivery through streamlined processes and enhanced service delivery, resolving operational challenges through effective cross-functional collaboration

Required Qualifications

Experience & Expertise

10+ years of progressive payroll operations and shared services experience with multi-regional scope

Proven track record building and leading large-scale payroll services operations across multiple business units and entities

Significant experience in offshore/shared services transitions and payroll system transformations

Deep experience with payroll systems administration, multi-jurisdictional compliance, and regulatory reporting

Leadership Capabilities

Exceptional people management skills with experience leading large, diverse, cross-functional global payroll teams

Proven ability to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels

Demonstrated capability in managing complex stakeholder relationships across various business units and regions

Technical & Business Skills

Deep payroll operations subject matter expertise across multiple jurisdictions and payroll functions

Strong operational background with focus on payroll accuracy, process optimization, and continuous improvement

Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) with ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels

Strategic Competencies

Experience making strategic decisions aligned with business priorities while balancing operational demands

Proven capability to benchmark, analyze, and implement payroll best practices globally

Experience establishing and managing payroll service level agreements with internal clients
