Job description

  1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  2. Develop and implement the annual general trade sales strategy aligned with company goals.

  3. Create regional sales plans, volume targets, and trade promotion strategies.
  4. Identify growth opportunities, market gaps, and competitive threats.

  5. Sales Leadership & Team Management

  6. Lead, coach, and mentor a national sales team, including Zonal and Regional Sales Managers.

  7. Build a high-performance culture with clear KPIs, accountability, and motivation.
  8. Conduct regular performance reviews and capability-building initiatives.

  9. Distribution & Market Expansion

  10. Strengthen and expand the distributor network in line with market potential.

  11. Drive numeric and weighted distribution for all product categories.
  12. Ensure effective secondary sales planning and monitoring

  13. DMS & SFA Management

  14. Leverage

Distributor Management Software (DMS)

for real-time sales, inventory, and claims tracking.
- Ensure

Sales Force Automation (SFA)

adoption for improved field productivity and execution.
- Use analytics from DMS & SFA to optimize supply chain, route-to-market, and sales performance.

  1. Trade Marketing & Execution

  2. Work closely with trade marketing to design and execute effective schemes, promotions, and visibility initiatives.

  3. Monitor market execution standards and ensure compliance across regions.

  4. Reporting & Business Insights

  5. Track and report sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.

  6. Present actionable insights to management for decision-making.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making ability.
  • High proficiency in DMS & SFA tools and related analytics.
  • Negotiation and relationship management with trade partners.
  • Strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability.

Candidates from FMCG industry preferably from the Food FMCG industry role only
