Job Overview:
We are looking for a Sales Manager with a strong background in industrial sales to lead our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in engineering sales, particularly in Automotive, Mechanical, Machine Tool Sales, and Project Sales. The candidate should possess the ability to guide a team strategically and technically to convert leads into successful business deals. This individual will be responsible for driving the sales process from lead generation to conversion while managing and mentoring a team to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Conversion: Manage the complete sales cycle from identifying leads to closing deals in Automotive, Mechanical, Machine Tool Sales, and Project Sales sectors.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor the sales team to help them meet and exceed individual and collective targets. Foster a collaborative environment to drive team success.
- Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate new markets, identify growth opportunities, and expand the customer base.
- Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to the sales team, ensuring that all proposals, presentations, and communications are aligned with the latest engineering technologies and product offerings.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
- Market Insights: Stay updated on market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs. Provide feedback to improve product offerings and sales strategies.
- Sales Reporting: Regularly report on sales activities, targets, and progress to senior management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and marketing teams to align sales strategies with technical capabilities and product offerings.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). MBA is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial engineering sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of the Automotive, Mechanical, Machine Tool Sales, and Project Sales industries.
- Sales Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, drive sales strategies, and close deals in competitive industrial markets.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of engineering products and solutions, with the ability to communicate technical details to both clients and team members.
- Leadership: Experience in managing teams, setting targets, and guiding them to achieve goals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively with clients at all levels.
- Software: Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho), Microsoft Office Suite, and any other relevant tools.
