Role Summary

The
Vice President – Finance
will be a key strategic leader responsible for driving the company's financial vision, governance, and long-term business strategy. This role will oversee all aspects of financial management including accounting, reporting, compliance, and fundraising. The ideal candidate will have
15+ years of progressive experience
in finance leadership roles and must be a
qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
with prior experience in a
corporate firm or organization
. Experience within the
D2C, e-commerce, or FMCG ecosystem
and a proven track record in
fundraising, investor relations, and due diligence
are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Reporting & Governance

• Lead and oversee
  timely closing of books of accounts
  in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Supervise
  monthly MIS
  ,
  business unit and channel-wise P&L
  (B2C, B2B, retail, website).
• Manage
  statutory, internal, and tax audits
  to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
• Maintain full compliance with
  GST, TDS, ROC filings
  , and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead
  annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis
  , ensuring strategic and operational alignment.

Strategic Finance & Business Enablement

• Provide
  financial insights
  and recommendations to drive business performance across marketing, operations, and supply chain.
• Analyze
  unit economics, contribution margins, and working capital efficiency
  for informed decision-making.
• Strengthen
  internal controls
  across procurement, inventory, and receivables.
• Lead
  automation and process optimization
  across financial systems, ERP, and reporting tools.
• Support
  long-term business planning
  , profitability modeling, and cost management initiatives.

Fundraising, Investor Relations & Due Diligence

• Lead
  fundraising activities
  (equity, debt, or investor partnerships), including financial modeling and data room preparation.
• Manage
  investor relations
  , ensuring transparent communication on business performance and financial health.
• Oversee
  financial and legal due diligence
  during capital raises, audits, or mergers.
• Monitor
  covenants, capital structure, and cash flow planning
  to optimize liquidity and growth.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and grow a
  high-performing finance team
  , fostering accountability and professional excellence.
• Collaborate with
  cross-functional stakeholders
  across sales, operations, technology, and HR to ensure alignment of financial goals with business objectives.
• Act as a
  trusted advisor
  to the CFO and leadership team on financial strategy, compliance, and governance.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA)
  with
  15+ years of experience
  in finance, accounting, and strategic financial management.
• Must have prior experience
  working as a CA in a corporate firm or organization
  (not just in practice).
• Experience in
  D2C, e-commerce, FMCG
  , or
  startup environments
  is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of
  accounting standards, taxation, audit, and regulatory compliance
  .
• Proficiency in
  ERP systems
  (SAP, NetSuite, or equivalent),
  Tally
  , and advanced
  Excel analytics
  .
• Proven experience in
  fundraising, investor relations, and financial due diligence
  .
