Location: Delhi/Bangalore (Frequent Travel Required, Open to Relocation)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Engineer – Expediting with experience in high-precision aerospace components. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and accelerating the manufacturing and delivery of critical parts from our vendors. This role requires a hands-on, travel-intensive approach with the ability to work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between vendors, inspection agencies, and internal engineering/quality teams.
  • Witness material inspections, dimensional verification, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) at vendor sites or accredited laboratories to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Monitor manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to approved procedures, engineering drawings, and quality requirements.
  • Track production progress at vendor sites, identifying and escalating potential delays or quality issues as needed.
  • Stationed at supplier locations for extended durations until part completion and dispatch, as required by project timelines.
  • Coordinate with design, quality, and procurement teams to ensure all engineering specifications and requirements are fully met.
  • Review and validate inspection and testing records provided by vendors or inspection agencies.
  • Prepare and develop detailed daily/weekly progress reports, escalating critical issues promptly to management.
  • Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with vendor staff, engineers, and key stakeholders to ensure collaborative problem-solving and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma/B.Tech in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in expediting or production follow-up, preferably in high-precision aerospace Machined components.
  • Technical Competencies:
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Solid understanding of quality control processes and acceptance standards relevant to precision manufacturing.
  • Awareness of international and industry standards for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and experience reviewing compliance to these standards.
  • Knowledge of material inspection, dimensional verification, and NDT processes.
  • Understanding of CNC machining, precision manufacturing procedures, and quality control practices.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High energy, self-driven, and result-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple vendor engagements.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across India.
  • Open to relocation based on project/vendor requirements.
  • Comfortable with being stationed at vendor site till part completion.
