Job Description – Procurement & Supply Chain

Location: Multiple (Gurugram / Mangalore / Other Bases)

Role Levels: Associate / Manager / Senior Manager

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing procurement, warranty, insurance, disposal, and stores inspection activities to ensure cost-effective sourcing, compliance with regulations, and timely availability of materials, spares, and equipment. The role supports operational efficiency, safety, and reliability standards, while building strong supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure aircraft spares, tools, consumables, and technical equipment at optimum cost and quality.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, warranties, and insurance claims to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
  • Handle inspection, acceptance, and storage of incoming parts and consumables in line with regulatory standards (MOE, SMS, etc.).
  • Monitor procurement KPIs such as on-time procurement rate, vendor performance, inventory turnover, and cost savings.
  • Support disposal of obsolete/unserviceable parts, ensuring compliance with environmental and industry regulations.
  • Oversee invoice clearance, backlog resolution, and dispute management with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze supply chain data and recommend process/system enhancements to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop, coach, and manage team performance to ensure high levels of delivery and compliance.

Skills & Qualities Required

  • Strong knowledge of procurement, supply chain, and material management practices.
  • Technical understanding of aircraft spares, tools, and consumables desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and deliver under deadlines.

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred for senior roles).
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience for Associate roles.
  • 6–10+ years of experience in procurement/supply chain for Manager/Senior Manager roles.
  • Experience in aviation, aerospace, or engineering industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement software, and regulatory compliance desirable.
