Overview – Role

We are seeking an efficient and organized IT Specialist to provide critical technical support to our Fire engineering teams in India and worldwide. In this role you will carry primary responsibility in the region for a wide range of IT duties that includes user support, infrastructure management & deployment, remote office integrations, and software solution implementation.

Based in Mumbai , this will be an office-based role responsible for supporting global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaison with local vendors to procure equipment and/or services
  • Remote and local installations and upgrades of enterprise software and hardware, including networking equipment
  • Imaging and physically deploying user PCs
  • Responding to user requests including, but not limited to - Troubleshooting hardware and software on user PCs , Installing software and limited hardware ,Password resets ,Provisioning, managing, and retiring user accounts
  • Smartphone email client setup and/or MDM enrollment
  • Travel to office sites may be required supporting integration activities. You will live commuting distance from an airport and can travel on occasion around Europe

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Relevant Graduate level education along with extensive proven experience in administering and troubleshooting Windows 7 – Windows 11 in a Microsoft domain environment, including Active Directory
  • Experience managing users and resources in Office 365
  • Experience supporting a mixed local and remote user base with remote-controlled software and working with remote teammates across multiple offices
  • Basic troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, and VPN issues
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve problems with sometimes unfamiliar or specialty software along with an understanding of basic SCCM and Cloud based architecture (Azure) highly desired
  • Able to undertake work independently whilst working effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • Enthusiastic to innovate and have an interest in continued research and learning
  • Effective communication skills and fluency in English language
  • Confident whilst respecting wider team/company protocols
  • Experience working for a global matrixed organization would be a distinct advantage
  • A degree of flexibility around working hours required
  • Must be able independently and regularly lift equipment or packages that weigh at least 25 kilograms
