Job Title: Infra-Security Engineer

Loc: Bengaluru

Experience: 5+ years

Job Type: Contract to hire

Notice Period: - Immediate joiners.

Mandatory Skills: Illumio Core (ASP),network security,Illumio Explorer, VENs, and policy writing (rulesets, labels, etc.).

JD:

Key Responsibility:

  • Design and implement micro-segmentation using Illumio Core to reduce attack surfaces and improve lateral movement prevention.
  • Perform application dependency mapping using Illumio's tools and third-party data sources.
  • Work with application and infrastructure teams to define and enforce segmentation policies.
  • Monitor policy performance, analyse traffic patterns, and continuously optimize segmentation strategies.
  • Manage and maintain Illumio PCE (Policy Compute Engine) infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with network security and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements and audit controls.
  • Troubleshoot segmentation-related issues and provide operational support.
  • Create documentation and train internal teams on Illumio usage and micro-segmentation best practices.

Candidate requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in network security, with a strong understanding of segmentation principles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Illumio Core (ASP) in an enterprise environment.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and east-west traffic flows.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.
  • Proficiency in using Illumio Explorer, VENs, and policy writing (rulesets, labels, etc.).
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
