Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive
Site Reliability Engineer
with 4+ years of experience in managing and maintaining AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure while actively managing incidents, alerts, service requests, and problem tickets. A strong understanding of
ITIL
and
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
principles is essential.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • 4+ years of experience in managing cloud infrastructure AWS.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services like EC2, RDS, Security Groups, IAM Policies, CloudFront, CloudWatch, SNS Topics etc.
  • EKS and terraform hands on.
  • Strong understanding of timely updating and maintaining SOP articles used to manage Incidents and alerts.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Experience handling cloud incidents, alerts, and service requests.
  • Hands-On experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Hand-On experience of handling critical incidents and WAR rooms.
  • Strong understanding of SRE principles and processes

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with security and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Experience in post-incident reviews and root cause analysis.
  • Good understanding of application monitoring, support and coordination with application teams during incidents.
