We're looking for a seasoned HR Operations Team Leader to inspire and lead a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional HR support across the employee lifecycle.
In this pivotal role, you'll ensure the smooth execution of end-to-end HR processes while maintaining compliance across global regions. As the primary escalation point for complex queries, you'll provide expert guidance, drive team performance, and foster a culture of service excellence. Collaboration with global HR stakeholders is key, as you work to align processes and continuously enhance the employee experience. Please be aware that this role will require someone who is able to cover rotational shifts to cover global business hours for Australia, Asia, UK/EMEA, New Zealand and the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of HR Operations specialists, work assignment, overseeing day-to-day service delivery, performance, and development
- Demonstrate hands-on expertise in end-to-end employee lifecycle management, including onboarding, transfers, data management, payroll inputs, and offboarding
- Act as the escalation point for complex employee queries and team queries, providing guidance, direction, and resolution
- Oversee and ensure accuracy in HR systems management, including organisation structures, reporting hierarchies, and position management within Workday
- Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness through real-time updates and controls
- Manage employee and team queries through ticketing systems, chat, and email, ensuring SLA adherence
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Compliance teams to drive process alignment and consistency
- Collaborate with global teams to balance standardization with local compliance requirements
- Provide reporting and analytics on HR metrics, team performance, and process effectiveness
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and process optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and employee experience
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
- Postgraduate degree / MBA in Human Resources or related field
- 6–8 years of HR Operations experience, with proven hands-on delivery across the employee lifecycle
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience managing teams in a global/shared services or shift-based environment
- Proficiency in Workday is mandatory
- Proficiency in MS office for HR analytics
- Strong knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle
- Ability to handle confidential data with high integrity and discretion
