This is an exciting and dynamic position of Sr Business Systems Analyst in the MIS & Analytics Team. The MIS &

Analytics Team is responsible for enabling the GSG processes to operate at the most efficient and effective levels by establishing best in class MIS and analytics tools.

This position will primarily support the GAPN (Global Payments, Billings and Card Issuance) processes.

In this role you will:

• Learn and understand the processes and systems used within the GAPN ecosystem
• Investigate available data sources, provide recommendations for incremental data needs, and work with data owners on sourcing
• Define and build appropriate metrics to evaluate the performance of the GAPN processes as well as provide
  
  recommendations on appropriate targets based on the optimal methodology
• Define and build Executive and process level dashboards providing visibility to process performance
• Conduct insightful analysis that assists leadership on process enhancement opportunities
• Support in capabilities migration projects by mapping current sources in Cornerstone and validating data sources in LUMI
• Support in reporting upgrades as a result of capabilities migration form Cornerstone to LUMI by rewriting existing code and remapping connections to our data viz tools

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
• Comfort executing in a certain level of ambiguity
• Strong experience using current AMEX data tools (Cornerstone, Hive, Yellowbrick, LUMI, etc)
• Strong reporting experience creating dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, etc)
• Ability to work independently as well as be a team player
• Ability to deconstruct processes and understand the data environment behind the process
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to translate complex data concepts to non-technical audience

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Billings, Payments and Cards Issuance requirements and processes
• Experience working with Billings, Payments and Cards Issuance data sources
• Proficiency in Python
• Working knowledge of mainframe systems
