Meena Bazaar, an Indian ethnic wear brand for women, is celebrated for its trendy and traditional clothing at competitive prices. Established in 1970, the brand operates close to 100 showrooms across India and the US, including a strong foundation in Delhi with generational customer loyalty. The collection spans casual daily wear, work, semi-formal to wedding attire, offering a variety of price points. Meena Bazaar has consistently delivered meaningful clothing for over 50 years and aims to expand its showroom count to 250 by 2023. It also recently launched its own brand of kurtas, AUMRE, to bring fresh, high-quality daily wear to its customers.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mumbai for an Area Manager. The Area Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple retail showrooms, ensuring store operations run smoothly and efficiently. Daily tasks include monitoring sales performance, implementing promotional strategies, training, and mentoring store staff, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring high standards of customer service. The Area Manager will also be responsible for coordinating with the corporate office to align store operations with company policies and goals.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail management and sales performance tracking
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and implement promotional strategies
  • Experience in inventory management and maintaining high standards of customer service
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and retail management software
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field
  • Experience in the fashion or ethnic wear industry is a plus
