We are seeking an Audio & Lighting Engineer who can manage all aspects of sound recording, lighting setup, and live session support, ensuring that every production maintains good quality.

Key Responsibilities

Audio Setup & Management

  • Handle setup and calibration of microphones, audio mixers, and interfaces for podcasts, interviews, and shoots.
  • Monitor live audio levels to ensure clean, distortion-free recordings.
  • Manage noise control, echo reduction, and acoustic treatment during sessions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all audio equipment.
  • Assist in post-production audio cleanup (EQ, compression, noise reduction).

Lighting Setup & Operation

  • Design and set up lighting for different formats like podcasts, interviews, and on-camera educational videos.
  • Operate soft boxes, LED panels, and diffusion lighting to ensure even, natural illumination.
  • Experiment with light temperature, contrast, and shadows to create cinematic or natural tones as required.
  • Collaborate with videographers to ensure lighting enhances framing and mood.

Production Collaboration

  • Work closely with the video production and creative teams to achieve desired visual and audio quality.
  • Assist during live streams and webinars for sound mixing and lighting balance.
  • Maintain an inventory of all audio and lighting gear; ensure timely setup before shoots.
  • Provide technical input during pre-production planning.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience:

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in sound engineering, lighting design, or studio production (podcast, film, or video-based).
  • Experience working with multi-mic podcast setups, DSLR/cinema camera lighting, and audio post-production workflows.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, or Logic Pro.
  • Familiarity with audio mixers, condenser mics, XLR systems, and audio interfaces.
  • Understanding of lighting gear, diffusion principles, and color temperature balancing.
  • Knowledge of OBS or similar live streaming software is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of visual and audio aesthetics.
  • Problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot on set.
  • Collaborative and organized and can coordinate with videographers, producers, and editors.
  • Adaptable to changing setups, schedules, and environments.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working on podcast studios, YouTube sets, or educational media setups.
  • Background in cinematography, photography or visual storytelling.
  • Passion for merging technical precision with creative storytelling.
