Position: Regional Manager – Government
Experience: 15+ Years
The Regional Manager - Government is responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new government clients within assigned sectors/territories/named accounts and cultivating strong relationships to expand existing government business. This role requires a deep understanding of government procurement processes and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles within the public sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success selling enterprise technology solutions to government agencies.
Job Description:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of government agencies' missions, strategic objectives, and technology requirements.
- Gain market share and maximize spend across Seqrite's portfolio of cybersecurity solutions within the government sector.
- Manage assigned territory/accounts, including strategic account planning, sales forecasting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Proactively engage with key stakeholders within government agencies, including technical decision-makers, influencers, budget holders, and procurement officials.
- Lead complex sales opportunities, leveraging a consultative approach to address government clients' unique challenges and requirements.
- Collaborate closely with channel partners and internal teams to maximize reach and drive comprehensive business development within the government market.
- Navigate government procurement processes, including RFPs, RFQs, contract negotiations, and compliance requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/Management. Master's in Business Management preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, software, hardware, IT services, or telecom domains, with a strong focus on government sales.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets within the large enterprise segment, specifically within government agencies.
- Established relationships with CXOs and technical decision-makers within key government accounts in the region.
- Demonstrated ability to understand how technology solutions address specific challenges faced by government organizations.
- Strong customer relationship management and strategic selling skills, with the ability to articulate Seqrite's value proposition and align it with government mission objectives.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to provide thought leadership on cybersecurity trends and best practices within the public sector.
- Accurate forecasting, pipeline development, and management.
- Highly developed planning, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of market trends impacting cybersecurity within the government sector, including regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with government contracting vehicles and procurement processes.
