Pre-Sales Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Presales Engineer to support our cybersecurity practice. The role involves engaging with prospective clients, understanding their security requirements, preparing tailored proposals, coordinating with internal technical teams, and ensuring timely delivery of engagement documentation.
This position bridges the gap between technical delivery and business development, making it ideal for someone with strong communication skills, a good grasp of cybersecurity services, and a client-centric mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to prepare proposals, quotations, and engagement letters for cybersecurity services (e.g., VAPT, SOC 2, ISMS, configuration reviews).
- Understand client requirements, define scope, and map them to appropriate service offerings.
- Prepare project timelines, effort estimations, and commercial documents for client review.
- Participate in client meetings, demos, and scoping discussions to support sales closure.
- Maintain a repository of proposal templates, case studies, and collateral for reuse.
- Coordinate with internal delivery teams for input on scope, methodology, and timelines.
- Support RFP/RFI responses by providing technical and commercial inputs.
- Track engagement status post-proposal and assist in handover to the delivery team.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in presales, bid management, or client engagement in the IT or cybersecurity domain.
- Working knowledge of services such as Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT), ISMS/ISO 27001, SOC 2, and IT GRC.
- Strong understanding of technical scoping and effort estimation concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (client-facing experience preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and documentation best practices.
- Ability to coordinate across teams, manage multiple deliverables, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (optional but preferred).
- Prior experience working with consulting or audit firms in cybersecurity or IT risk advisory.
