Sales Engineer – ELV

1. Job Summary:

We are seeking a technically proficient and results-driven Sales Engineer specializing in ELV (Extra Low Voltage), ICT systems and IT/ ITeS infrastructure systems (ICT, IT/ITeS, Datacentre, Network active systems, electronic security (CCTV and Access Control), Building Management system, public address systems, audio-visual systems, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of integrated ELV systems and IT /ITeS networks, and will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, designing solutions, and supporting the sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.

2. Key Responsibilities:

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities for ELV, ICT systems and IT/ ITeS infrastructure projects in the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.

· Understand client requirements and propose appropriate ELV and IT solutions, including but not limited to:

• Structured Cabling Systems

• Wired and WIFI Networking

• CCTV & Surveillance

• Access Control Systems

• Fire Alarm Systems

• Public Address Systems

• IPTV, SMATV, and Audio/Visual Systems

• Data Centers and Server Rooms

• Wireless Networks

• IP Telephony & VoIP Solutions

• Cloud Computing Services

• Datacentre solutions

· Prepare technical and commercial proposals, BOQs, and tender documentation in coordination with pre-sales and engineering teams.

· Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients, consultants, and contractors.

· Liaise with manufacturers and vendors for pricing, technical support, and product selection.

· Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and channel partners.

· Track and manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools.

· Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and new technologies in ELV, ICT and IT systems. Also develop and implement effective sales strategies, pipelines, and forecasting models.

· Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective clients.

· Meet with clients to assess needs and provide technical solutions and quotations.

· Coordinate with design, engineering, and installation teams to ensure proposed solutions meet client requirements.

· Assist in the preparation of project documentation, submittals, and compliance checklists.

· Meet with consultants, contractors, developers, and end-users to understand project requirements and provide appropriate ELV, ICT and IBMS solutions.

· Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, Architects and contractors.

· Stay up to date with new technologies, market trends, and competitor activities.

· Recruit, train, and mentor sales executives and account managers to improve performance and product knowledge.

· Collaborate with technical teams to design tailored IT solutions that meet client needs.

· Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs.

· Work closely with the design and engineering team to ensure proposed solutions meet project and regulatory requirements.

· Track market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to support strategic planning.

3. Required Skills:

· Any degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, or a related field.

· 5+ years of proven experience in sales or pre-sales of ELV, ICT and IT/ITeS system infrastructure systems.

· Strong technical knowledge of ELV, ICT and IT/ITeS systems and standards.

· Familiarity with products from key vendors like Cisco, HP, Juniper, Dell, Commscope, Molex, Belden, Axis, Hikvision, Bosch, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Bosch, VMWare, etc.

· Experience with project estimation, solution design, and proposal writing.

· Proven experience in preparing technical / commercial proposals and BOQs.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Experience in handling large-scale commercial or industrial projects.

· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

4. Compensation:

· Competitive base salary

· Commission structure / Incentives based on sales targets

5. Working Conditions:

· Office-based with frequent site visits and client meetings.

· May require occasional extended hours to meet deadlines or client needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹60,000.00 per month
