: generic JD UNIX Admin Job Description (Should be points only) System Administrator is responsible for day-to-day support of the systems, enhancing customers experiences and responding directly to items reported through the service request system. This includes, but is not limited to, operations for 7x24x365.

Will provide high-level server, and network operations support to staff.

LINUX Server Support Red Hat Linux System Administration HP-UX System Administration AIX System Administration Provides advanced troubleshooting of systems by assessing the problem and applying a solution using techniques via phone, e-mail, service request system, remote assistance tools and/or in person.

Formulate and implement solutions to meet customers requirements and timeline. Ability to install, configure and support Linux operating systems.

Install, configure and support complex software applications in both workstation and server environments.

Define any problems in deploying software applications and/or hardware.

Formulate solutions for the installation or maintenance of software/hardware.

Coordinate equipment repair and preventative maintenance activities with third party vendors. Make recommendations on server hardware, software and networking requirements.

Build reports, templates and write scripts to resolve customer facing requests Produces reports and Management information, including impact analysis reports and Configuration status reports Identifies opportunities and submits proposals for improvement with respect to tools, staff, training, process, procedures and work instructions Ensure that the Asset Management Process is used correctly within the department Be informed of the objectives and activities of the various support groups that interact with Assets within their department Coordinate initial identification of Assets within the sections of the department Ensure the Process, procedures, work instructions and tools are optimal from a departmental/section point of view Ensures all new Assets are added to the database and regular maintenance is being done throughout the lifecycle of Assets Identifies improvement opportunities within the department Assists the Asset Management process owner with proposed enhancements Identifies and fulfils specific training needs within the department Communicates changes to the Process within the department and promotes use of the changed process. Must to Have Skills (Should be 2 - 4 only)

Excellent verbal and written English skills Excellent client facing experience Good to Have Skills (Should be 2 - 4 only)

Customer service focus; Able to work with a minimum level of supervision as well as perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree.

Strong organizational skills required; including good time management skills

Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) Strong attention to detail Motivated, reliable and results oriented Team player with a positive attitude
