We are looking for a Business Development Manager with strong expertise in Air & Sea freight forwarding (Exports & Imports) to expand our client base and strengthen business growth. The role involves identifying new opportunities, developing customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets by offering customized logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Air and Sea freight forwarding (exports & imports).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, consignees, agents, and corporate clients.
  • Develop sales strategies to achieve individual and company revenue targets.
  • Negotiate rates and service contracts with clients while ensuring profitability.
  • Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to stay competitive.
  • Prepare business reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline updates for management.
  • Represent the company in client meetings, trade events, and industry networking platforms.

Requirements

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Logistics, or related field.
  • 510 years of proven experience in business development / sales in logistics & freight forwarding.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade, shipping documentation, INCO terms, customs clearance, and freight rates.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong client network within exporters, importers, and freight forwarding industry.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in reputed freight forwarding / logistics companies.
  • Existing client portfolio in air & sea freight business.
  • Familiarity with trade lanes (Asia, Europe, US, Middle East).
