Job Description: 1. Materials Research for cathode development - Understanding failures of the state of art and root cause analysis - Conducting Literature survey - Ensuring appropriate Selection of materials - Being responsible for Electrochemical experimentation

1. Separator development - Conduct thorough analysis of existing separators to determine requirements for our chemistry. - Develop and manage vendor relationships. - Lead in-house development efforts. - Perform electrochemical experimentation.

2. Cell and battery development - Assemble cells and batteries using selected materials and developed separators. - Conduct cell and battery level testing using various protocols.

3. Failure analysis of cell/battery - Dissecting failed cells (lab/field) and understanding the failures - Finding the solution for the mitigation

4. Materials Characterization - Complete understanding of all scientific tools/instruments

5. Organizational Imperatives - Achieving Operational Excellence such as Kaizen, CII Business Excellence, etc. - Statutory Compliances: Meet all compliance requirements, both statutory in nature and those required by G&B.

Required Qualification: M.Sc Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Materials Chemistry & Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry/Materials Science and Engineering

WORK EXPERIENC: M.Sc Chemistry/Applied Chemistry/Materials Chemistry, 9+ years of work experience in battery research (Lead acid/ Lithium/ Sodium/Zinc ion) OR PhD qualification, 8+ years of work experience in battery research (Lead acid/ Lithium/ Sodium/Zinc ion)Preferred:3 years in Zn-MnO2 research experience

SPECIAL SKILLS: Fundamental knowledge in materials science, electrochemistry, electrochemical technologies, batteries and separators - Hands on experience in the development of cathode materials, characterization, and electrochemical studies of separators for energy storage applications - Hands on experience in handling high-end material characterization equipment (SEM/XRD/FTIR) and analytics - State-of-the-art experimental/theoretical and interpretive skills to technical problems - Good technical writing and presentation skills - Analysis and Interpretation skills
