Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies, programs, and procedures in compliance with Statutory regulations..
  • Regularly inspect and assess the workplace for potential hazards and risks to health and safety.
  • Conduct safety audits and accident investigations to identify root causes and provide corrective actions.
  • Ensure that employees follow safe work practices, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety devices.
  • Organize regular safety training and awareness sessions for employees to promote safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the organization.
  • Prepare and submit safety reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Monitor the condition of safety equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure their safe usage.
  • Develop and implement emergency response procedures and ensure all employees are trained in emergency protocols.
  • Maintain emergency equipment and systems, including fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and evacuation plans.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety.
  • Suggest improvements in processes and systems to reduce risks and enhance safety measures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Fire and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

  • Experience with safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigation.

  • Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and implement effective safety programs.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
