Role Description:

The Assistant Project Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of projects across various stages, ensuring that tasks are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with organizational objectives. This role works closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to assist with scheduling, documentation, communication, and overall project tracking.

Key responsibilities include helping develop project plans, coordinating timelines, preparing status reports, and maintaining project documentation such as meeting minutes, deliverables, and task lists. The Assistant Project Manager assists in monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks or delays, and ensuring that stakeholders are informed of updates and requirements.

The role may also involve coordinating meetings, supporting budget and resource tracking, facilitating communication among team members, and ensuring that project workflows run smoothly. The Assistant Project Manager contributes to process improvements, helps streamline operations, and supports successful project delivery across functional teams such as operations, IT, marketing, finance, or engineering.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once are essential. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their project management capabilities and gain experience in cross-departmental collaboration.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to assist with project scheduling, planning, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and familiarity with project management tools (Trello, Asana, Jira, , MS Project).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track progress, identify issues, and support risk mitigation efforts.
  • Proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Project management certifications (CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation) are a plus but not required.
