Location: Okhla Phase 2, Delhi

Experience: 15+ Years

Education: B.E./B.Tech (Engineering) + MBA preferred

Key Responsibilities:-

1. NPD Procurement & Strategy

  • Lead procurement initiatives for new product development projects from concept to commercialization.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to define sourcing requirements and timelines.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for NPD components, materials, and tooling.
  • Ensure cost optimization, quality compliance, and timely availability of materials for NPD projects.

2. Supplier Development & Management

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct supplier capability assessments, audits, and performance reviews.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure commercial competitiveness.
  • Drive supplier innovation and technical collaboration for new material and process development.

3. Product Lifecycle & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams through the NPD lifecycle — design, prototyping, testing, and launch.
  • Manage PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) across T0, T1, and T2 levels to ensure readiness for mass production.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize product manufacturability and cost structure.
  • Support NPD supply mapping, stability analysis, and demand forecasting for new products.

4. Market Research & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct market analysis to identify sourcing trends, new technologies, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Benchmark materials, processes, and suppliers to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Continuously evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality systems, and sustainability requirements.

5. Leadership & Reporting

  • Lead procurement planning, budgeting, and reporting for all NPD projects.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on procurement status, risks, and milestones.
  • Drive operational excellence and process automation within the procurement function.

Candidate Requirements:-

  • 15+ years of experience in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / NPD within FMCG, Plastics, or Steel industries.
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Materials) with MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing NPD procurement, vendor development, and cost optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of PPAP, prototyping (T0–T1–T2), tooling, and production ramp-up.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Hands-on experience in cross-functional collaboration and project management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
