Position: Purchase Head

Location: Delhi HO

Role Summary

The Purchase Head will spearhead the procurement and supply chain function for large-scale

interior and turnkey projects. This leadership role entails driving procurement strategy, ensuring

cost efficiency, strengthening vendor partnerships, and securing timely and quality material

supply. The incumbent will be responsible for building a future-ready procurement function

aligned with organizational growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and implement long-term procurement strategies, policies, and cost-control

measures.

• Drive savings through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and rate contract

negotiations.

• Prepare and manage annual procurement budgets in alignment with financial and

business goals.

• Partner with senior management to integrate procurement strategy into project

planning.

Vendor & Supplier Management

• Develop, evaluate, and manage a robust supplier base across furniture, fixtures, raw

materials, hardware, MEP, and finishing materials.

• Negotiate contracts, credit terms, and strategic alliances for sustainable supply

partnerships.

• Conduct periodic supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and

compliance standards.

• Build long-term vendor relationships to secure competitive advantage and reliable

supply chains.

Team & Process Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, ensuring high performance and

succession planning.

• Standardize procurement processes through robust SOPs, vendor evaluation

frameworks, and approval workflows.
• Implement ERP/procurement systems to ensure efficiency, transparency, and data

driven decision-making.

• Drive cross-functional collaboration with design, execution, finance, and project

management teams.

Operational Excellence

• Monitor industry trends, innovations, and emerging suppliers to support business

competitiveness.

• Ensure availability of materials at the right cost, quality, and timeline to minimize

project risks.

• Oversee warehousing, logistics, and inventory control to streamline material flow.

• Proactively manage supplier disputes, procurement risks, and statutory compliance.

Reporting & Compliance

• Provide regular dashboards on spend analysis, cost savings, vendor performance, and

procurement KPIs.

• Ensure audit readiness, strong documentation, and compliance with corporate and

statutory policies.

• Promote sustainability by integrating eco-friendly, cost-efficient sourcing practices.

Key Competencies

• Strong leadership with proven experience in procurement strategy and large-scale

vendor negotiations.

• Pan-India procurement exposure with ability to manage remote project sites/plants.

• In-depth knowledge of industry-specific materials, suppliers, and procurement trends.

• Excellent stakeholder management, vendor relationship building, and conflict

resolution skills.

• Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement tools, and advanced MS Excel.

• Analytical mindset with risk management capabilities and cost optimization expertise.

• High accountability, goal orientation, and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelors/master's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or

related field.

• 10–15 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles

within turnkey/interior projects.

• Demonstrated track record of handling procurement on high scale , including vendor

development and cost optimization.

• MBA or equivalent post-graduate degree preferred.
