Scope and Accountabilities:

  • The position is located in thyssenkrupp Marine Systems India (TKMS), New Delhi Office and reports directly to CEO.
  • Job entails dealing with various levels (Middle to Senior) of officials at Indian Navy (IN ), Ministry of Defence (MoD), Shipyards like MDL, CSL, GRSE and other Private Sector Defence Companies and organizations.
  • Should be capable of giving sound advice to the Senior Management.
  • Location: Activities will be executed mainly in New Delhi & Mumbai, additional locations might occur all over India mainly in Naval Harbours.

Activities:

  • Identifying and developing new Business areas. E.g:

. Autonomous Systems

. Development partners

. Shipyards

  • Customer relationship management
  • Development of supply chain / indigenization partners.
  • Development of business case for Joint Ventures and partnerships, building bidding consortia.
  • Input to Industrial strategy development.
  • Build & maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Support OEM sales team(s).
  • Project Monitoring for group products and projects.
  • Liaison with customers (Indian Navy, shipyards) for large projects.
  • Align and provide input to the group strategy for India market.

Qualifications & Desired Profile of the Candidate:

  • Senior Person
  • a Post graduate degree or equivalent from a recognized University
  • At least
    15 – 20 years
    of experience in relevant field
  • Highly skilled with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Job entails dealing with various levels (Middle to Senior) of officials at Indian Navy (IN ), Ministry of Defence (MoD), Shipyards like MDL, CSL, GRSE and other Private Sector Defence Companies and organizations.
  • The job requires knowledge of the Naval ship, submarines and the underwater Naval systems fitted onboard these platforms.
  • The person should have thorough knowledge of the Defence Procurement System in Indian Navy.
  • Person having hands-on experience in developing indigenization projects with industrial partners in Indian defence projects.
  • The Person should have good understanding of the working of the various departments of Naval Headquarters, Command Headquarters of IN, the rank structure in the Armed Forces. Should be familiar with the working of the various departments of MoD & hierarchical structure that exists there. In General, fair understanding of the working of the various ministries of Govt of India.
  • Liaison work/ coordination of various ongoing projects of our parent companies in Germany with Indian Customer such as Indian Industry, Indian shipyards, Indian Navy etc.
  • Business focused / oriented.
  • Flexible to take the responsibilities.
  • Language skills: Highly articulate in English.

Education: Post Graduate or Equivalent

Minimum Experience: 15 years or more.
