The
Senior Director – Programmatic
is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining, leading, and scaling the programmatic media practice across multiple clients and agency teams within Publicis Groupe. The role requires a balance of strategic vision, operational excellence, team leadership, and innovation to ensure that clients leverage the full potential of programmatic media and data-driven marketing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership
- Define and drive the overall programmatic vision and roadmap across clients and agency teams.
- Lead strategy development for large-scale programmatic campaigns encompassing brand, performance, and full-funnel objectives.
- Partner with senior client stakeholders to position Publicis Groupe as a trusted advisor on digital transformation and data-led media strategy.
2. Client & Business Growth
- Oversee a portfolio of key accounts to ensure delivery of business outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Identify and drive growth opportunities, including new business pitches and cross-functional integration within Groupe offerings.
- Represent the programmatic practice in strategic reviews and leadership forums.
3. Practice Development & Operations
- Establish best-in-class frameworks for audience strategy, measurement, inventory management, and data partnerships.
- Standardize operational processes across DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, Xandr, etc.) to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, brand safety, and quality standards across all campaigns.
4. Innovation & Technology
- Champion innovation through the adoption of emerging programmatic technologies, AI, retail media, and CTV solutions.
- Collaborate with product and data science teams to build proprietary tools and automation frameworks.
- Drive partnerships with major media, data, and tech providers to enhance the Groupe's competitive advantage.
5. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of programmatic strategists, managers, and traders.
- Build talent capability through structured training, performance management, and career development programs.
- Foster collaboration across media planning, analytics, and creative teams to deliver unified marketing solutions.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of
programmatic ecosystems

ad tech architecture
, and
digital media strategy - Deep expertise across DSPs, DMPs, CDPs, and measurement frameworks
- Strategic acumen with strong analytical and business storytelling skills
- Experience in
agency operations, client leadership, and commercial management - Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale transformation initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- 10–15 years of experience
in digital media, with a minimum of
7 years in programmatic leadership roles - Demonstrated success in managing large client portfolios or digital media transformation mandates
- Experience in handling both
brand and performance-driven
advertisers - Prior experience with leading programmatic teams in a
global or network agency
is highly preferred
