About the role

We're on the lookout for a people-focused HR Manager with global experience to shape and deliver our People & Culture agenda for our India teams. In this role, you'll bring our global Matillion policies to life locally—ensuring they not only align with our worldwide standards but also reflect the unique needs of our India workforce.

You'll play a key role in managing the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to engagement and everything in between, creating a seamless and supportive experience for our people. As part of a collaborative global People & Culture team, you'll help us build consistency, strengthen connections across regions, and foster a vibrant workplace culture.

This role has no direct reports and is a full-time, office-based role in our brand-new modern office in Hyderabad, offering you the chance to make a big impact and build strong relationships.

What you will be doing
  • HR Support & Compliance – Act as the local HR contact for India, advising employees and leaders, ensuring compliance with Indian labour laws, and maintaining HR policies/handbooks aligned with global standards.
  • Employee Relations – Serve as a trusted advisor, handling employee relations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity, and supporting UK/US leaders with their India-based teams.
  • HR Operations – Manage onboarding/offboarding, employee life-cycle changes, HRIS updates, benefits renewals, and handle employee queries on policies, processes, and benefits.
  • Culture & Engagement – Champion company values, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives; organise engagement activities, events, and celebrations to build a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Collaboration – Partner with global People & Culture, Recruitment, and Compensation & Benefits teams to deliver seamless HR operations and drive people initiatives across India.
What we are looking for
  • HR Expertise – 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a global tech company or high-growth start-up, with strong knowledge of Indian employment laws (including Telangana) and hands-on experience in HR operations, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Tools & Tech Savvy – Comfortable using Slack, Google Suite, and global HRIS systems to manage employee data and processes effectively.
  • Advisory Skills – Proven ability to guide line managers on employee relations matters while handling sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration skills, with a customer-focused, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Personal Qualities – Organised, people-focused, and adaptable; able to manage multiple priorities, thrive in fast-paced environments, and contribute to building a positive culture.
