Position: Senior Systems Analyst / Lead – Banking

Role Summary

The Senior Systems Analyst / Lead will be responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, and support of complex banking applications and transaction processing systems. The role requires strong SQL development expertise, sound systems analysis capability, and experience working within high-volume financial processing environments while adhering to strict compliance and security standards.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong hands-on expertise in T-SQL and/or PL/SQL for application development and data analysis.
• Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of new or enhanced system software to meet business requirements in compliance with defined policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
• Document business and system requirements using structured system analysis methodologies to support solution design and implementation.
• Design and execute integration solutions between banking and business applications to enable straight-through processing (STP) and transaction automation.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts to monitor data accuracy, identify processing exceptions, and support high-volume transaction environments.
• Build small internal tools or applications to improve operational productivity and process automation.
• Provide application support to end-users and coordinate with external vendors as required for issue resolution.
• Continuously identify improvement opportunities within business operations and propose feasible technical solutions.
• Develop customized queries, MIS reports, and dashboards based on user specifications.
• Ensure that software testing follows defined guidelines and that proper test documentation is maintained.
• Adhere strictly to security policies, internal controls, and compliance procedures to mitigate risks including fraud, operational losses, and regulatory non-compliance.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are executed in line with established organizational procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain confidentiality of all access credentials, including passwords, user IDs, and system combinations, and enforce compliance among users.
• Ensure data backup procedures and off-site storage controls are implemented and regularly audited.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL / PL-SQL.
• Strong understanding of banking operations and transaction processing systems.
• Experience with system integration, STP frameworks, and automation strategies.
• Expertise in SQL performance tuning and data reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of software testing processes and UAT coordination.
• Hands-on capability to build internal tools and reporting applications.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
• High awareness of information security, governance, and regulatory compliance standards within financial services.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Experience

• Prior leadership or mentoring experience in systems analysis or development teams.
• Exposure to core banking applications, payment processing platforms, or middleware integrations.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications within regulated environments.

Pay: ₹814, ₹2,283,312.67 per year
