Role & responsibilities
1. Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding distribution, managing distributors & retailers, increasing product visibility, and driving market growth for Quick Pure packaged drinking water.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly & annual sales targets.
- Develop sales plans for 1 Ltr, 500 ml, and other pack sizes.
- Monitor daily sales performance and take corrective actions.
B. Distribution Management
- Appoint, manage & support distributors in the assigned area.
- Ensure product availability across retailers, hotels, restaurants, cafs, corporates, and wholesalers.
- Maintain distributor inventory levels and ensure timely secondary sales.
C. Market Expansion
- Identify new markets, potential retailers, and corporate clients.
- Drive numeric & weighted distribution growth.
- Execute new product launches smoothly.
D. Team Management
- Manage and guide Sales Executives / Sales Representatives.
- Conduct training on products, pricing, and sales techniques.
- Track team performance and motivate them to achieve targets.
E. Trade Marketing & Branding
- Execute company schemes, offers, and promotions.
- Ensure visibility: posters, danglers, branding boards, racks.
- Build strong relationships with retailers & channel partners.
F. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily sales reports (DSR).
- Report competitor activities, price movements, and offers.
- Track outstanding payments & ensure collection discipline.

3.Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 25 years of experience in FMCG / Beverage / Water distribution.
- Strong distributor & retail network knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to handle field sales team.
- Strong analytical & reporting skills.
- Ready for extensive field visits.

- Distributor performance & expansion.
- Market visibility & branding execution.
- Collection efficiency.
