We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with good experience in the Interior, Decorative, or Architectural industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving sales growth through strategic planning and execution.
Job Type: Full-time | Location: Chennai | Industry: Architecture / Interiors / Decorative Products
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new business opportunities in the Interior Design or Architecture industry for products like curtains, wallpaper, headboard, furniture, Wall/Metal/Leather Art etc.
- Identify, approach, and build relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, builders, and corporates.
- Achieve sales targets and expand the companys market presence.
- Conduct market research to identify new trends, competitors, and opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
- Maintain strong post-sales relationships to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Work with internal teams (design, operations, delivery) on high level to deliver client requirements.
- Networking in industry events, exhibitions, and forums.
- Customer feedback and satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree with minimum 5+ years of experience in Business Development or Sales preferably in Interior, Decorative, or Architectural products/services. Any other suitable industry is welcome.
- Good understanding of organizations growth plans and develop strategies that is close to company goals.
- Excellent Communication skills with fluency in English, Tamil and Hindi is mandatory, as we work with Pan India customers
- Excellent Branding and Marketing, Presentation and Negotiation skills.
- Client Communication and Management
- Networking skills with architects, interior designers, and industry professionals.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred candidate profile
Business Development professional who has the eagerness to learn, perform and can strategize the company's growth in a very creative industry (Interior Design / Furnishing / Building Material)
