This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Key responsibilities

  • Strategy and planning: Develop and implement sales strategies, set sales targets for the area and individual representatives, and create a business plan to achieve these goals.
  • Team leadership: Recruit, train, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to ensure they meet or exceed their goals.
  • Sales and customer management: Manage and grow the customer base, maintain strong relationships with key clients, and identify new business opportunities within the region.
  • Performance monitoring and analysis: Monitor team and individual performance, analyze sales figures, track market trends and competitor activity, and report results to senior management.
  • Operations: Deal with major accounts, ensure product availability through distributors, and contribute to marketing efforts by providing customer and market feedback.

Required qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field is typically required. An MBA or other master's degree may be preferred in some industries.
  • Experience: Proven sales experience, ideally in a similar sales management role, is necessary.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also generally required.
