Marketing Assistant

Job Description:Summary: Provides Support to the Marketing Department by implementing administrative systems,procedures, and policies and monitoring administrative projects.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Assists with Marketing department workflowa. Responds to requests for information and distributes sales videos, brochures, and otherpromotional materialsb. Assists with trade shows, direct mail campaigns, and performs some creative writingc. Maintains the supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipatingneeded supplies; placing and expediting order for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.d. Maintains marketing files, coordinating meetings, preparing correspondence, memos, directmailings, switchboard coverage as needed, and various other departmental projects.2. Utilizes Sugar CRM to manage customer relationshipsa. Maintains Mailing List, Inventory, Competitor, and related databasesb. Provides monthly and annual sales, won/loss, inquiry activity, and quote sent activity reports3. Conducts market research to identifies marketing opportunitiesa. Monitors brand status and competitive landscape for Concrete Products equipmentb. Helps to define niche focal points, and tailor marketing materials to actively pursue these markets4. Supports domestic and international sales channelsa. Provides sales support by implementing new or updated marketing materials to meet specificcustomer or industry needsb. Maintains marketing material quality by proofreading the content of all print advertisements,brochures, videos, press releasesc. Facilitates the distribution of promotional materials to the sales team5. Supports internal and external customer servicea. Follows up on marketing leads, filters queries appropriately, maintains customer relations, andcompletes follow up surveysb. Understands and documents internal and external customer needs and expectations andcommunicates to appropriate team(s) when an expectation will not be met6. Contributes to the continuous improvement efforta. Documents processes and procedures, eliminates non-value added activities, and participates incross functional CI teams7. Maintains professional and technical knowledgea. Establishes personal networks, participates in professional societies, attends professionalworkshops and reviews publications8. Contributes to team efforta. Willing to attempt new assignments or fill in for others as needed; accomplishes other duties asassigned9.
