Elevator Modernization Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Business Development & Sales

  • Identify modernization opportunities in aging elevators/escalators.
  • Generate leads through service teams, customer visits, and market intelligence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with property owners, facility managers, builders, and consultants.
  • Conduct site surveys and propose tailored modernization packages.

2. Proposal & Negotiation

  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals for modernization projects.
  • Present solutions highlighting safety, reliability, energy efficiency, and design improvements.
  • Negotiate contract terms with customers within company guidelines.
  • Finalize orders ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for modernization clients.
  • Address customer queries, concerns, and objections professionally.
  • Maintain long-term relationships to ensure repeat business.

4. Coordination & Collaboration

  • Work closely with service and operations teams to identify modernization prospects.
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to design solutions.
  • Coordinate with finance and legal teams for contract compliance.

5. Sales Strategy & Reporting

  • Develop and execute modernization sales strategies to achieve monthly/annual targets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to management.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Deep knowledge of elevator modernization solutions (controllers, drives, motors, safety upgrades, cabin interiors, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Customer-focused with relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business acumen and target-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • 7–10 years of experience in elevator/escalator sales with at least 3+ years in modernization.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and safety standards (EN81, ISO, local regulations).

KPIs for Performance Measurement

  • Modernization sales revenue (monthly/annual).
  • Order intake vs target achievement.
  • Conversion rate (enquiries to orders).
  • Gross margin % on modernization projects.
  • Customer satisfaction & retention rate.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500, ₹900,000.00 per year
