Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Process Excellence Team within the Operations Support department of a leading shipping company. This role is designed for individuals with strong project management and analytical capabilities who are passionate about driving process improvements and operational efficiency. The selected candidate will also be groomed for potential future roles in delivery teams handling core shipping operations processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and LEAN methodologies.
  • Manage and track project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations for leadership reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor process changes.
  • Document workflows, SOPs, and best practices to ensure process standardization.
  • Enhance skills for future transition into delivery teams by building knowledge of shipping operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 35 years of experience in process improvement, project management, or shipping operations analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred) and LEAN principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of the shipping cycle, including export/import processes, is a strong advantage.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Adaptable and open to taking on diverse roles or responsibilities across departments, based on evolving business needs
  • Certification in Project Management is a plus.
  • Experience in the shipping or logistics industry.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
