About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Facility and Maintenance Head to lead and oversee all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across multiple outlets. The role involves managing a large team, ensuring operational excellence, driving cost efficiencies, and implementing sustainability practices in utilities and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food & beverage/retail chains and expertise in vendor management, project execution, and energy conservation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure smooth functioning of equipment and infrastructure.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for breakdowns and implement corrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and quality standards.
- Oversee maintenance of kitchen equipment (cold rooms, ovens, fryers, coffee machines, blast chillers, bun toasters, etc.), HVAC systems, fire pump rooms, and utilities.
Project Management & Reporting
- Assist in execution of new projects including setup of outlets and infrastructure upgrades.
- Prepare and manage BOM, BOQ, RFQs, and vendor coordination using SAP/ONEX tools.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of utilities, breakdown analysis, and cost tracking (Daily/Weekly/Monthly).
- Support audits by external and internal teams and drive compliance.
Cost & Energy Efficiency
- Optimize utility usage (electricity, gas, water) and implement energy-saving initiatives.
- Drive kaizen and continuous improvement projects for resource efficiency (e.g., VFD installations, RO plant optimization, LED upgrades).
- Negotiate AMC contracts, manage spare part policies, and reduce OPEX/CAPEX through innovative cost-saving solutions.
People Leadership
- Manage and motivate a large team of maintenance staff (up to 70+ members).
- Train operators and team members on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment handling.
- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous learning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/B.Tech in Electronics Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance management within QSR/F&B/retail industries.
- Strong expertise in SAP, ONEX, vendor management, and procurement processes.
- Proven track record in preventive maintenance, audits, energy conservation, and infrastructure upkeep.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage costs, negotiate contracts, and deliver efficiency improvements.
