Job Description / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall operation and performance of the power plant during the assigned shift.
  • Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliaries.
  • Monitor DCS parameters, equipment performance, and ensure smooth load management.
  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation departments for maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain optimum efficiency by controlling parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow as per SOPs.
  • Handle emergency situations, plant tripping, and ensure quick restoration.
  • Prepare and maintain shift logs, reports, and daily generation summaries.
  • Supervise and guide operators, field assistants, and technicians on shift.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with CHP, water treatment, and utility sections for continuous plant operation.
  • Participate in shutdown/startup activities as per approved procedures.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements for reliability and efficiency.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
