Roles & Responsibilities

The Remote ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for the following core functions:

  • Platform Development: Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable solutions across key ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, and custom applications.
  • Coding & Scripting: Write and optimize server-side and client-side code utilizing JavaScript, Glide API, and relevant web technologies (HTML, CSS, AngularJS).
  • Service Portal: Develop, customize, and maintain Service Portal pages, widgets, and themes to enhance the user experience.
  • Integration: Implement and manage integrations with external systems using technologies such as REST/SOAP web services and the Integration Hub.
  • Workflow Automation: Configure and create complex automation scripts, Business Rules, Flow Designer flows, and Workflows to streamline business processes.
  • Maintenance & Stability: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including platform upgrades, cloning, and managing Update Sets for code migration.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues, performance bottlenecks, and reported defects efficiently.
  • Governance: Ensure strict adherence to coding standards, security policies (ACLs), and ServiceNow best practices.
  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical design specifications.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain thorough technical documentation for all development efforts, configurations, and processes.
  • Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews within an Agile framework.
