Reports To: Head of Technology Strategy - Platforms

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic operator to lead our Platform Management Office (PMO). This role functions as the operational backbone of the Platforms team, driving delivery governance, product alignment, and business operations. The ideal candidate will bring a structured, data-driven approach to platform execution, while also contributing to enterprise-level planning, cost optimization, and vendor strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Delivery & Governance:

  • Lead planning and execution across platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and business priorities
  • Drive delivery governance frameworks, including milestone tracking, dependency management, and risk mitigation
  • Partner with Product Managers to embed product-centric thinking and iterative delivery practices across platform teams
  • Facilitate quarterly business reviews and platform health assessments to inform leadership decisions

Business Operations & Financial Management

  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning for platform functions, ensuring financial discipline and transparency
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses (CBAs) for platform investments, tooling decisions, and vendor engagements
  • Contribute to the annual operating plan, aligning platform strategy with broader organizational goals and financial targets
  • Manage vendor relationships, including onboarding, performance evaluation, contract compliance, and renewal strategy
  • - Develop and maintain operational dashboards and KPIs to monitor platform performance, cost efficiency, and delivery velocity

Skills and Qualifications:

Process Excellence & Compliance
- Standardize operating models, delivery rituals, and reporting structures across platform and regional product teams
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, procurement policies, and external regulatory requirements
- Continuously improve delivery processes and operational workflows to enhance scalability, predictability, and team productivity

Organizational Effectiveness & Talent Strategy
- Shape the operating model for platform teams, balancing centralization with regional adaptability
- Partner with HR and leadership to define workforce composition, talent mix, and succession planning
- Lead workforce optimization initiatives, replacing underperforming roles with high-impact talent while maintaining budget neutrality

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a strategic advisor to platform leadership, surfacing insights and driving cross-functional alignment
- Mentor and guide PMO analysts or program managers within the team
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across platform functions

Qualifications & Experience
- 10 years of experience in platform operations, program management, or product delivery within technology or SaaS environments
- Proven track record in delivery governance, financial planning, cost-benefit analysis, and vendor management
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, product operations, and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and financial planning platforms is preferred
