Role Overview:

As an Anti-virus and Patching Engineer, youll manage endpoint security and system patching across enterprise environments. Your goal will be to ensure systems are up-to-date, compliant, and protected from vulnerabilities and malware threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor anti-virus and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Perform regular patch management across OS and applications (Windows, Linux, macOS).
  • Coordinate patch testing and deployment using automation tools (SCCM, WSUS, Intune, BigFix, etc.).
  • Investigate and resolve security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Generate compliance and vulnerability reports.
  • Collaborate with IT Security and Infrastructure teams to improve system resilience.
  • Document processes and maintain patching schedules.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools (Symantec, McAfee, CrowdStrike, Defender, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of OS patch management and vulnerability remediation.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
  • Knowledge of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) or Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation frameworks.
  • Awareness of CVE management and security baselines.
