Role & responsibilities

The Product Manager will oversee the full product lifecycle for Carbon Black (CB) grades - covering industrial, rubber, tire, plastics, inks, and specialty applications. The role combines market analysis, product strategy, pricing, and cross-functional collaboration to drive growth and profitability.

Market & Business Strategy:

  • Develop product strategy and roadmap for Carbon Black across different segments (Rubber, Specialty, Conductive, etc.).
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and applications for CB products.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and market intelligence to track industry trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies.

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage end-to-end product portfolio, from development and launch to phase-out.
  • Collaborate with R&D on new grade development, technical specifications, and application testing.
  • Coordinate with Operations for production planning and quality compliance.

Pricing & Profitability:

  • Set and monitor pricing strategies in line with market dynamics and raw material cost fluctuations (e.g., feedstock prices).
  • Work with Sales & Finance to ensure margins and profitability targets are achieved.

Sales & Customer Support:

  • Support sales teams with product positioning, technical data sheets, and customer presentations.
  • Handle key customer interactions for new product trials and troubleshooting.
  • Address customer feedback to improve product quality and service.
