Role & responsibilities

The role involves a strategic balance of market analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and portfolio management. Product strategy and development

  • Vision and roadmap: Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the gold loan portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
  • Market intelligence: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and new product opportunities.
  • Product innovation: Lead the development and launch of new gold loan products and features across digital and offline channels.

Portfolio and profitability management

  • P&L ownership: Manage the profit and loss (P&L) statement for the gold loan portfolio, focusing on revenue growth and cost rationalization.
  • Performance monitoring: Analyze product performance metrics such as revenue, profitability, customer acquisition, and retention to optimize outcomes.
  • Pricing and risk models: Work with finance and risk teams to fine-tune pricing models, interest rates, and risk assessment parameters.

Team leadership and cross-functional collaboration

  • Leadership and mentoring: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, guiding them in setting objectives and developing their skills.
  • Interdepartmental coordination: Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and operations to ensure a successful product rollout and a smooth customer experience.
  • Market penetration: Design and implement strategies with territory and branch heads to increase market penetration for the gold loan business.
