Position: Technical Bid Management Executive

Job Description:

As part of the Bid Management team you will be responsible for designing technical solution offerings and preparing the technical bid documents along with cost estimates. You will work in close cooperation with the delivery, engineering, SCM and support departments to define optimum solutions to be offered to our customers worldwide.

Background in defining "solution architecture" taking into account customer environment and the compatibility with offered product(s) will be a huge positive.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the central point of contact on assigned proposals and guide the work of the Global Technical Bids and Proposals team.
  • You will need to be able to understand in detail the needs and requirements of the purchaser.
  • In this position, you will be responsible for designing technical solution offerings and preparing the technical bid documents along with cost estimates
  • You will work in close cooperation with the delivery, engineering, SCM and support departments to define optimum solutions to be offered to our customers worldwide.
  • Own the proposal preparation process for each specific opportunity that he/she works on, including being the primary owner and creator of every proposal or response to RFx (e.g., RFI/RFP/RFQ, etc.) or tender.
  • Build/coordinate analysis and/or clause-by-clause of technical bid documents
  • As part of Bid Compliance team to ensure complete compliance with required process and metrics being met/adhered to.
  • You will be working together with sales managers in presenting the technical solutions to our customers during bid defense stage.
  • Assist to maintain, augment, and improve the library of reusable components, templates, and processes to reduce response time and improve the quality of future bids.

Technical skills:

Require a combination of knowledge and skills across a combination of the following areas

  • Signaling and switching protocols such as ISUP, SCCP, TCAP, MAP, IN, CAMEL; SIGTRAN, ISDN; IMS, SIP; Exposure to LTE including DIAMETER, etc. will be an added advantage
  • Cellular network architecture and elements – core network (HLR, HSS, VLR, MSC,MME, GMSC, SMSC, SGSN, AuC, EIR)
  • BSS/OSS elements – billing, provisioning, mediation, TAP/RAP processes
  • Technical understanding of the 4G/5G core
  • Exposure to Signaling/ SMS/ Voice Firewall architecture/ call flows.
  • IP networking, including TCP/IP, Frame relay, Voice over IP, ATM, GPRS, 3G/UMTS – elements, protocols, procedures
  • Software – understanding of software systems and architecture (preferably in the context of telecommunication systems); hands-on background in software development, will be a huge plus

Soft skills:

  • Must have worked (or be willing to work) with prospects, customers and partners in a proactive, high-energy and self-motivated culture that is driven by a very strong will to win
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess good presentation skills, and ability to "whiteboard" concepts during discussions
  • Must be able communicate effectively and proactively using email, phone, chat/IM tools, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with a globally distributed organization, as part of virtual, multi-functional teams
  • Must be willing to travel both internationally and locally (at least 20%)
  • Imagination and curiosity, as well as rigor and discipline (stick to deadlines)

Experience:

  • Must have a proven track record of success in Technical bid management role
  • Should have experience in working with geographically distributed virtual team
  • A degree in Engineering or CS preferred
  • Specialization in Bid management/pre-sales is desirable.

Educational Qualification:
Btech/Mtech/BE/ME/BMS/MCA (fulltime)

Work Experience
: At least 3-5 years in various bid management/technical pre-sales positions
