Key Responsibilities:1. Plant Operation

  • Operate ETP/STP units, including pumps, blowers, clarifiers, aeration tanks, filters, and sludge handling systems.
  • Carry out start-up, shutdown, and backwashing procedures as per standard operating instructions.
  • Monitor flow rates, pH, DO, TDS, and other operational parameters regularly.
  • Adjust chemical dosing (lime, alum, polymer, chlorine, etc.) based on lab test results and process conditions.

2. Monitoring & Maintenance

  • Perform routine checks on motors, valves, pipelines, and control panels.
  • Ensure smooth operation and report any malfunction or abnormality to the supervisor immediately.
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities under the guidance of maintenance staff.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety standards around the plant area.

3. Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Maintain daily log sheets for flow, pressure, chemical consumption, and plant performance.
  • Record influent and effluent test results and maintain proper documentation for compliance.
  • Prepare daily and monthly operation reports and submit to the Plant In-charge.

4. Environmental & Safety Compliance

  • Follow all safety rules and use PPE while working at the plant.
  • Ensure treated water meets the discharge standards set by Pollution Control Board / CPCB / SPCB norms.
  • Immediately report any deviation or emergency to the site management.
  • Participate in periodic training on plant operation, emergency response, and safety practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Experience: 1–5 years in operation of ETP / STP / WTP / Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plants.
  • Basic understanding of process parameters, chemicals, and lab testing preferred.

Pay: ₹12, ₹31,679.52 per month
