Production Engineer

RESPONSIBILITY:

• Carry out process capability exercise for each variety at each station and finalize optimum process parameters for right quality and thereby define process capability of each station and line.
• Train skilled and unskilled operators/ workers and helpers for SOP of each station, operational safety ,CLIT, Best working practices, 5S, Kaizen , Productivity Norms, Setting, Quality norms , Do's & Don'ts, QMS, Recording of change over and Daily production reports, etc.
• Review, confirm and declare Capability of each station and Installed Capacity, Available capacity and Optimum capacity of each station and line.
• Play active role in new product development, vendor assessment audits , Process audits , Supporting sales in addition of new clients and purchase to develop new suppliers, Trials of new consumables & supplies , assessing and rating their performance and helping purchase to expand supply base
• Get annual business plan, Targets for Production volume & order booking per quarter and per month, Prepare forecast for projected load vs Optimum Capacity per Quarter / per Month , initiate reqd. actions to debottleneck capacity constraints and line balancing
• Co-ordinate & collaborate with all internal and external stake holders, verify capability and capacity and adequacy of all resources like manpower, m/cs, material , tools, dies and fixtures , consumables etc.
• Confirm production plan, seek & provide clarification, review and monitor progress against plan , initiate catch up plan as and when necessary and ensure successful execution with positive communication to all stake holders,
• On time submission of verified and authenticated Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports production, productivity, management losses, rejections and rework on line, consumption and yield of various items against set targets, analysis of losses / wastages and action plan to control or eliminate same.
• Escalate issues to concerned higher authorities, seek clarifications and approvals as may be the case to overcome short falls and anticipated failures.
• Plan & Assign work, Duties, Shifts, tasks & targets, improvement projects to sub ordinates in line with ABP, Prepare time bound activity chart, Review and Monitor for successful delivery of projects within acceptable time line.
• Review Check sheets, production reports, Data related to productivity, down time Gap analysis of plan Vs Actual, Initiate actions for improvement.
• Ensure compliance in total to policies, guidelines, systems and instructions issued by management and seniors in addition QMS, OHSAS, EMS and legal and statutory requirements .
• Trouble shooting, Analysis of all type of rejections / reworks/ internal and external customer complaints /failures/ shortcomings/ delays/ wastes, Root cause identification, finalize action plan, implement, check results and continue PDCA till issue is resolved to satisfaction.
• Control and manage workforce on floor, Train and develop skills / multiskilling, Ensure adherence to SOPs & upkeep of machines, tools, dies, conveyors etc.
• Execute tasks assigned by production head and seniors
• To prepare Daily production plan , allocate work , review hourly and shift wise outputs against productivity targets , take actions to overcome stoppages/ delays / rejections and shortfalls on line
• Coordination with cross functional teams of QA/QC, Maintenance, Stores, purchase and Admin for resolutions/ clearances of issues hampering committed deliveries and production targets.
• Preparing issue slips, arranging requested RM, tools /tackles, consumables & PPEs from stores, controlling consumption, avoiding wastages etc.
• Monitoring PT/ ETP /RO plants for process , performance and quality of output, up keepment, replacements, consumptions, Maintenance , AMC, Maintaining records and documents including safe stocking and disposal of hazardous waste
• Keeping track of reoccurring and pending issues of each production station and co coordinating with Maintenance to get them resolved at PM plan / WEEKLY OFFs
• Training, delegation & mentoring of subordinates to develop leadership across department for stability, continuity & long terms success of organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹200, ₹400,000.00 per year
